| The Estampería Quiteña
is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Tuesday through Friday, and
Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Payment for using the workshop includes
the use of the workshop facilities, tools and various supplies,
except for ink and paper. Workshop users may receive technical help
from Elena Grijalva and Clara Hidalgo, the artists who are responsible
for the workshop. We also have a library with books about the history
of engraving, techniques, etc, available for users.
Payment for one hour of using the workshop gives you the right
to acid plates, use of tarlatans and various tools.The Members of
the Ecuadorian Printmaker Association pay $1.00 per hour and Non-Members
$2.50 per hour.
The Estampería Quiteña sells imported printmaking
supplies.
Christmas Handcrafts Store
Every year the Estampería Quiteña has a Christmas
Store which is open for three weeks before Christmas with handcrafts
made by artist members of the Ecuadorian Printmaker Association.
We sell handcrafts such as: prints, Christmas cards, agendas, ceramics,
jewelry, decoration objects, etc.
