COURSES |

INTRODUCTION TO PRINTMAKING I
This course lasts for 48 hours (4 hours a day), from Tuesday
to Friday. You may also receive this course for 5 Saturdays
from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. It is designed for starters, artists
and people who do not have knowledge on chalcographic printmaking
techniques, and who are interested in learning about the process
of printmaking and its basic techniques: hard ground etching
and aquatint on copper and zinc plates with their different
printing methods. |

INTRODUCTION TO PRINTMAKING II
This course also lasts 48 hours, and is for people who have
already taken the Introduction to Printmaking I course or
wish to extend their knowledge within the different printmaking
techniques such as: Mezzotint, Drypoint, Soft Ground Etching,
etc. |

PHOTOGRAVURE
This course also lasts 48 hours during a two-week period.
You must have basic knowledge in printmaking and printing.
The purpose of this course is to teach you the basics in the
process and methods of photogravure, learn how to make photographic
images and apply them to the photogravure technique. We help
you acquire a general vision of the graphic arts world and
its relationship with printmaking, developing your graphic
ability and capacity to make the most of your own artistic
language. |

COLLAGRAPH
This course also lasts 48 hours. The collagraph technique
constitutes a contribution to the artist’s freedom of
expression due to its great flexibility, properties and the
diversity of materials allowed by such technique. The molds
(cardboard, wood, acetate, metal) and the different additives
incorporated by synthetic resins, used to create various textures,
may be recycled materials and can also help to lower costs.
